Qualification Overview

This market-leading risk assessment qualification provides learners with an understanding of the responsibilities of employers. Learners will explore:

  • the main causes and costs associated with work-related fatalities, injuries and ill-health
  • the role of risk assessment in the prevention of accidents and ill-health
  • the requirements of a risk assessment
  • a process for undertaking a risk assessment
  • and a method to evaluate risk.

Using the skills developed during the risk assessment course, delegates will participate in a mock risk assessment related to a given case study. Mock risk assessments will be peer-reviewed and assessed by the tutor on the day allowing delegates to receive instant feedback on the skills they have developed.
